Small Vanilla Cake Recipe
This vanilla cake recipe is perfect for small celebrations or when you crave a little something sweet. The cake is moist, fluffy, and full of flavor. It can be easily customized with your favorite frosting or toppings.
Best of all, it only takes a few minutes to make! Ingredients: 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
1/4 cup (50 grams) unsalted butter 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup (200 grams) granulated sugar
2 eggs room temperature* (see note below) 1 cup (130 grams) all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease and flour one 8×8 inch baking pan or line an 8 inch round cake pan with parchment paper. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and milk until just warm.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and flour until well combined.
Add the melted butter mixture and stir until everything is combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.*Note: If your eggs are not room temperature, place them in a bowl of warm water for 5 minutes before adding them to the batter.
